The Overlook is one in a series of landscape illustrations that I have been working on using a small but powerful landscape creation program called “Terragen” in conjunction with Photoshop and photo reference to create somewhat unique landscape illustrations.

This as well as the others that I am showcasing are a full 360 from what I usually create as far as subject matter and theme, but never the less they give me the opportunity to explore, expand and excise my creative impulse and drive. I still have a lot of learning and experimenting to do with the program until I am fully confident I can generate time after time commissioned illustrated landscapes to a particular storyline based world.
